These are compulsory for students who have completed Grade 10 only (including workers) and wish to apply and begin Matriculation studies at PIMS.
GRADE 12 UPGRADING STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DO THE ENTRY TESTS.
There are two tests involved, one for Basic English and the other Basic Math.
Each test can only be done once, there is no repeat.
Cost of the tests are K10.00 each (Total K20.00).
To have access to BOTH tests do the following.
- Pay the K20.00 into PIMS NCD Account No. 1000489931 BSP
- Register to the PIMS Website using the Register tab on the main Page.
Upon payment both Tests with corresponding Answer Sheets can be accessed online on the PIMS Website.
Your Entry Test answers must be entered (ticked) in the two answer sheets provided below online (on this webpage) and sent to us directly by pressing the SUBMIT button at the end of each test. Marking and notification of results to you is automated and immediate online on your mobile phone or laptop. You can keep copy of both entry tests.
The PASS MARK for both entry tests is set at 70 percent. Applicants who score below that will need to enrol in the appropriate Pre – Matriculation subject. For example, a student that passes the English Entry Test but fails the Math Entry Test will enrol in Basic Math (Pre – Matriculation) and English 1 (Adult Matriculation).
